Product Features and Details
The Badische class IV has to be one of the most exquisite steam locomotives ever built. It was built by Maschinenbau-Gesellschaft Karlsruhe. The Pacific 4-6-2 design and its smooth lines made it a true classic and it was also the first pacific designed and built in Germany. The Class IV was almost identical to the famous Bavarian class S3/6 with some added features. It featured silver piping and handrails, a pointed boiler nose with silver tip and large gold number plates. It was designed for fast express service and ran between the states of Baden and Bavaria. The Class IV's powerful four-cylinder drive was efficient and easy to maintain, it set the standard for all four-cylinder locomotives produced in Germany and around the world.
The model of the class IV is handmade in brass; it features full cab interior, functional boiler hatch with full boiler details and a brushless, ironless bell motor. This model is a masterpiece and it features too many technical and optical details to list. Our model comes in a black and reddish brown livery with red pin stripping
